on the Apple software update when i go to update this is what I'm getting (the apple software server could not be found check your internet settings and try again) respond soon

1, My Computer>> Local Disk(C):>> Window>> System32>> drivers >> etc.
2. Select the hosts file, right click copy.
3. Right Click and paste. A duplicate of the hosts file named " hosts-copy
4. Drag the original hosts file to your desktop. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
5. Drag the "hosts – Copy".
6. Right-click "hosts – Copy" and choose Open. You may be asked to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
7. retype #127.0.0.1 local hosts to # 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com and save it. (this is the most important part!!!!!)
8. Drag the "hosts – Copy" file from your desktop back into the original location. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
9. Right-click the "hosts – Copy" file, and choose Rename.
10. Type hosts and press Enter.
11. Restart your computer and try connecting to the software update server.
